About this role

At Woohl, we’re building a scalable social commerce platform designed for Indian startups and emerging brands. As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll be responsible for owning features end-to-end, from crafting intuitive frontend experiences to designing reliable backend systems.

You’ll work closely with designers, frontend engineers, backend engineers, and founders in a fast-paced startup environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems holistically, taking ownership, and shipping production-ready features.

What you'll do

  • Build modern, responsive user interfaces using React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui
  • Develop and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js
  • Design and interact with relational and NoSQL databases using Prisma ORM, PostgreSQL, Redis, and DynamoDB
  • Handle authentication and authorization flows using JWT and OAuth
  • Architect and maintain backend infrastructure on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB)
  • Write unit and integration tests for frontend and backend using Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, and Chai
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decision-making

What we're looking for

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with React and Next.js for frontend development.
  • Solid backend experience with Node.js and Express.js.
  • Experience working with databases like PostgreSQL, Redis, and DynamoDB.
  • Familiarity with Prisma ORM or similar data access layers.
  • Good understanding of authentication systems (JWT, OAuth).
  • Experience with Docker-based deployments and basic DevOps workflows.
  • Comfortable using Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and move fast in a startup setting.
